I am looking for local INDIVIDUALS who make eco-friendly products not companies or department stores
It would be great if someone can provide me with a website or a name of an organization that can help me.

I would expect that in New York, you would have plenty of options. Try a simple Google … i mean Yahoo… search. Depending on what city you live in, how big it is, you might have to travel a bit to find something.
Health food stores usually carry a wide variety of products like that.
Some big chain stores will as well, if they happen to have Health Food or Organic products sections.

Go to your local coffee shop or college. You’re bound to find a bunch of hippy “enlightened” types there. I’m sure they probably make stuff…you know, to sell instead of getting a real job.
Try your local farmers markets. Many towns are getting them now, even if they are starting off small. Or a health food store.
you’re kidding me right? everywhere! the internet is you biggest decision out of all the others. i mean, you can find them anywhere as long as you have internet.
