I’m an incoming high school senior with an interest in architecture and ecology. I want to find a university with an architecture or engineering program focused primarily on building environmentally efficient housing and developing new ways of making houses and products more eco-friendly.
From what I’ve researched, Sustainable Architecture sounds like what I want, but I’m open to any other majors similar.

Sharp exhibited a new plant-based resin paint made from corn during the 2007 Eco Products exhibition for environmentally friendly alternative energy sources, and for the first time in the world, Sharp has commercialized technology developed in conjunction with Kansai Paint to coat plastic parts of consumer electronics with this plant-based resin paint. Sharp began using this corn-based resin paint on its AQUOS LCD TV stand in October of last year. The carbon dioxide reduction effect that results from the use of corn as an alternative energy source in place of gasoline is equivalent to 111,000 liters of gasoline. This is equal to the amount of CO2 absorbed by a 77 hectare forest of trees. This new plant-based paint uses cornstarch as its main raw material and can dry twice as fast as previous plant-based paints. It is made from a combination of a base compound and a solvent rather than the base compound and hardening agent combination used by previous plant-based paints, and because of the volatilization of the solvent, the new paint hardens quickly and drying time can be shortened. I’m writing a cause and effect research paper. The effect I’m doing is the eco-friendly and organic products across every market. However, I’m not entirely sure what sparked the whole trend. I was originally going to say that the high gas prices really caught everyone’s attention, but I’m having trouble finding that information in research. I’m also considering saiyng global warming started it- but that’s a little vague. Did anyone notice anything to that really sparked the trend? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I am looking for a cause in the past few years. Like the gas prices rising so everyone had to pay attention to what’s going on with the earth, etc.

My mom and I are opening an eco friendly pet store that will offer biodegradable/nature friendly products and all natural pet foods etc. and we are trying to come up with a catchy name that portrays that. Any suggestions would be great. So far we’ve come up with “Organic Paws Boutique” or “Eco Chic Pet Boutique” what do you think?
